SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man died Tuesday after being attacked in San Francisco late last month, police said.
Police say the man was in the 200 block of Jones Street when he was assaulted just before 4 p.m.
Police did not say what led up to the assault or provide any suspect information.
When officers arrived, they found the man being treated by paramedics, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
He was taken by paramedics to a local hospital with what police said were "potentially life-threatening injuries." The man died at the hospital from his injuries on Tuesday, police said.
The investigation has been turned over to the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail, authorities said.
