2. Baby born on side of road at Golden Gate Park after parents stuck in traffic (jambroadcasting.com) — A San Francisco couple ended up welcoming their baby girl on the side of the road in Golden Gate Park after traffic near the Golden Gate Bridge stopped them from reaching the hospital in time. With paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department delayed by the same jam, a doula also stuck in traffic helped deliver the healthy newborn before mother and child were taken to the hospital.
3. 'A very Chinese time of life' for tech and art in Union Square (missionlocal.org) — A new art-and-technology show is transforming a vacant Union Square eyewear store into a playful, provocative space where San Franciscans can explore AI, China's tech rise, and the city's own tech giants. Over the next three weeks, TIAT will host interactive installations, performances, and talks, all aimed at reimagining an optimistic future from right in downtown San Francisco.
4. Behind Tarik Skubal's dominant start, Dodgers shut out Giants (statenews.net) — San Francisco Giants fans saw the home team shut out 2–0 as the Dodgers opened a three-game series at Oracle Park behind a dominant seven-inning start from Tarik Skubal. The Giants managed only three singles, dropping their third straight overall and sixth in a row to Los Angeles despite solid work from their bullpen.
5. United Airlines to Deploy New Premium 787 to One of Most Liveable Countries in the World (aviationa2z.com) — If you fly long-haul from San Francisco, United plans to upgrade its SFO–Sydney route to a premium-heavy Boeing 787-9 starting December 2026, boosting business and premium economy seats. The seasonal schedule will ramp up to daily service over the holidays, giving Bay Area travelers more high-comfort options on one of the region's key international routes.
