SAN FRANCISCO — A body was recovered from the San Francisco Bay on Tuesday afternoon, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
Multiple agencies responded at 2:15 p.m. to a Bay rescue between Alcatraz and Treasure Island, the Fire Department said.
Multiple allied agencies responded, including the U.S. Coast Guard, the San Francisco Police Department police boat and drone unit, along with a California Highway Patrol helicopter.
The person was discovered and after evaluation by paramedics, it was confirmed that it was a body recovery.
The identity of the person and circumstances of their death have not yet been released.
