• Passenger killed in suspected DUI crash in San Bruno (eastbaytimes.com) — A deadly suspected DUI crash at El Camino Real and the I-380 westbound off-ramp in San Bruno left a 22-year-old passenger dead and the driver facing vehicular manslaughter and DUI charges. San Bruno police are asking anyone who saw the early-Sunday collision or has information about the driver's actions beforehand to call their tip line.
   

• Northbound U.S. Highway 101 closure may add to Labor Day weekend traffic woes (pressdemocrat.com) — Labor Day drivers from San Bruno and the Peninsula should expect heavy traffic as all northbound lanes of Highway 101 between Cesar Chavez and 17th Street in San Francisco close from late Friday to early Monday. Caltrans recommends using I-280 and I-380 near San Bruno or public transit, with detailed detours laid out for those heading to and from SFO and downtown.
