• Starbucks is closing dozens of stores across California — here's where (nypost.com) — Two Starbucks locations in San Carlos, on Industrial Road and San Carlos Avenue, are among 64 California stores slated to close as part of a broader corporate restructuring. The company says affected workers should be transferred to nearby shops, while it invests in renovating other locations and trims underperforming stores statewide and across North America.
   

• Bay Area town becomes unlikely site of Netflix's 'A Man on the Inside' production (fresnobee.com) — Filming for Season 3 of Netflix's "A Man on the Inside" is actively taking over several blocks of Howard Avenue and Burton Park in San Carlos, marking one of the city's biggest productions ever. Crews shot at local homes and the Doppio Zero restaurant, with city officials coordinating the two‑day shoot that's putting the town squarely in the TV spotlight.
