Daylight Savings Means It's Time to Change Your Clocks...and Smoke Detectors

Daylight Savings time is right around the corner which means it’s time to change your clocks…and your smoke detectors!

 On November 6, San Carlans should change the batteries in their smoke detectors and test for any inoperative devices, says the San Carlos Fire Department.

 “An operational smoke detector in the home will provide the early warning notification of a fire and permits the occupants to evacuate the residence in the early stages of a fires development,” said the Department in a statement. “Properly operating smoke detectors do save lives!”
