Irish Dancing Introduction

During the Irish Dancing Introduction class sponsored by the San Carlos Recreation Department, students are introduced to traditional Irish step dances while being instructed on proper posture, foot placement, timing and stage presence. Students will develop self-confidence, enhance physical agility and discipline, and gain new friendships through dance. They will become familiar with Irish music and will be able to perform in various events. Mary Jo Feeney, the director and prime teacher, is a licensed teacher and adjudicator of Irish dance with An Coimisium Le Rinci Gaelacha (The Irish Dancing
Commission) in Dublin, Ireland. The Murphy Irish Dance Co. has Regional, National and World champions. This class is for kids age 7 to 11.
