Truly new information on the widely-covered Heartbleed security issue has stopped trickling in, and while most of the coverage is focusing on the immediate actions everyone should take, there are opportunities here for parents. The opportunities are to discuss security in general with your Internet-savvy kids and also to get their passwords if you don’t already have them. All internet users are going to be inconvenienced by this including parents, so you might as well leverage this situation to talk to your kids and to do housekeeping you may have been putting off.
