Historic Filoli Announces Volunteer Recruitment Event
Fans of Downton Abbey will enjoy volunteering at Filoli. A New Volunteer Recruitment will be held on Saturday, October 15 in Woodside.

New Volunteer Recruitment at Filoli
- 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016
- Reservations required by 4:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016
Filoli will hold its New Volunteer Recruitment at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Filoli. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the many, varied ways to volunteer at Filoli on Committees such as, House and Garden Self-Guided Docents, Weekend Tour Docents, Nature Education Docents, Member Services, Visitor Services, Public Relations, Hospitality, Garden Information Docents, Floral Design, Flower Arranging, Garden, Art, the Café, the Garden & Gift Shop, and Pianists who play in the Ballroom. More than 1,000 volunteers presently help sustain Filoli, a non-profit organization and historic site of The National Trust for Historic Preservation. Some people enjoy volunteering with a friend or two, or meeting new friends.

Fans of Downton Abbey will enjoy volunteering at Filoli. As a Filoli volunteer, one can spend a few hours every week or two in this Gentleman's 654-acre Estate and take a step back in time. Volunteers get behind-the-scenes looks at the elegant Georgian mansion and world-famous Garden and are also able to participate in Filoli’s special events if desired. Filoli is where parts of the TV series Dynasty were filmed plus more than a dozen movies, including “The Game,” “Joy Luck Club” and “Heaven Can Wait.”
