Man Caught Masturbating In Peninsula School Parking Lot: Police

SAN MATEO, CA — A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of engaging in a lewd act in public on Tuesday after he was spotted masturbating in a San Mateo high school parking lot, police announced. Benito Chico Diaz was arrested shortly after the 5 p.m. incident Tuesday.

Police said that a "concerned parent" saw a man "masturbating in his vehicle while parked at Hillsdale High School."

Police responded to the scene and arrested Diaz.

"We wanted to take a moment to thank the observant parent that called SMPD and reported the incident," police said in a news release. "This is a good example of the partnership we have with our community to help identify and investigate illegal activity."
