Man Hit, Killed On Caltrain Tracks, Agency Reports
BREAKING: Peninsula trains were running about an hour behind schedule on Friday following the incident.

SUNNYVALE, CA – A man was fatally struck by a train in Sunnyvale on Friday morning, according to Caltrain officials. The person, who has not been identified, was hit around 8:21 a.m. by a southbound train, no. 218.
"At approximately 8:21 a.m., SB #218 fatally struck an adult male at the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station," Caltrain officials said in an email. "Emergency personnel are on-scene."
The station was expected to remain closed until noon – at the earliest, according to the transportation agency. As trains would not be stopping at Sunnyvale, VTA was providing mutual aid.

"Passengers should expect delays of up to an hour," Caltrain officials said.
Approximately 60 passengers were aboard the train at the time of the deadly incident. This is Caltrain's fourth fatality of the year, according to the agency.
