Peninsula Power Outages: Thousands Lose Power in Storm

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Several power outages have been reported along the Peninsula as a storm makes its way through the region.

The largest outage was in the Belmont and San Carlos area, affecting a total of 1,767 customers, according to PG&E's outage center. The agency says trees are in contact with electrical equipment in the area.

Over in the Burlingame area, 1,613 customers were without power at 5 p.m.
