Pettinelli Financial Partners Helps Fight Blood Cancer with Charity Golf Tournament

More than 80 golfers raise more than $27,000 for Be The Match

Last month, in its first golf tournament ever, Pettinelli Financial Partners raised more than $27,000 for Be The Match, a unique organization that provides hope and delivers cures to blood cancer patients.

Taking place at Peninsula Golf and Country Club in San Mateo, CA, the tournament hosted more than 80 golfers and celebrity supporters including six-time All-Star Vida Blue and baseball analyst Bill Laskey.

Every dollar to Be The Match helps more patients afford transplants, adds potential marrow donors to the Be The Match registry, and funds life-saving research.

Pettinelli Financial Partners has experience with blood cancer when Robert Olsen, a nine-year veteran of the firm, was diagnosed two years ago with a rare lymphoma. Fortunately, he beat cancer after completing two successful stem-cell transplants. He attributes being alive today exclusively to the work of Be The Match, “My survival would not be possible if not for an unknown donors donation with the Be The Match registry,” Olsen stated.

The success of the golf tournament has prompted Pettinelli Financial Partners to consider making the benefit an annual event, supporting different charities over time.
