Restaurant Row: Saffron Indian Bistro

The Saffron Indian Bistro has been serving San Carlans some of the most well-liked North Indian food on the Peninsula.

Located downtown at 1143 San Carlos Ave., the restaurant features popular dishes such as butter chicken, tandoori chicken, lamb saag, and channa masala. Vegetarian, vegan, and glute-free dishes are also offered.

Saffron is well-known for their large and extensive buffets which feature varities of curries and kabobs.

Open Sunday through Thursday until 9 p.m., and until 9:30 p.m. on weekends, the restaurant has been getting raves from readers of San Carlos Patch, and we wanted to recommend it.
