Written by Christa Bigue
SamTrans will hold a series of public meetings in August to discuss proposed changes to the bus agency's fare. If approved, any changes would take effect Jan. 2014. The meetings will last from August 12 to August 14 and focus on reducing the price of the SamTrans Day Pass to two and a half times the one-way cash fare for up to 18 months and establishing an annual pass for purchase by housing complexes and businesses.
Locally, the public meeting schedule will be held Wednesday, Aug. 14 at noon at the SamTrans Administrative Office 1250 San Carlos Avenue. For a list of other meetings throughout the county, go to www.samtrans.com.
