San Carlos Driver Brandishes Handgun During Road Rage Incident

Police are search for the suspect.

A man brandished a handgun during a confrontation with another driver in San Carlos this morning, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim contacted police around 9:10 a.m. to report the incident at the corner of Holly Street and Industrial Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

He told deputies that he had noticed the suspect tailgating him after he made a right turn from northbound Old County Road on to eastbound Holly Street.

The victim said he pulled over at the corner of Holly and Industrial, got out of his car and began walking back toward the suspect’s car.

But when he saw the suspect pull a handgun out of the glove box and point it toward him, he got back into the car and called 911.

The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 50s with dark sunglasses and a baseball cap of an unknown color. His vehicle was described as an older model Ford Crown Victoria, white in color with black
spotlights.
