No Holiday for this Market.
The San Carlos real estate market continues to thumb its nose at the calendar in 2013. This would normally be the time of the year when both buyers and sellers would take a break to prepare for the holidays with the anticipation of revving back up for the Spring real estate market.
But the dynamics of this year's economy have completely pre-empted the traditional seasonal behavior of the real estate market. Homes were selling during Thanksgiving week. And there now have already been more new listings of single-family homes in San Carlos in just the first week of this month than there were in the entire month of December 2012. Chalk it up to continued high demand, low inventory, and smart sellers who know that buyers are not taking the holidays off this year.
