San Carlos Resident Comes Home to Burglary in Progress
Sheriff's officials say the interrupted burglars took off running.
SAN CARLOS, CA- The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential burglary that was interrupted by the homeowner on Tuesday evening in San Carlos.
Deputies responded at 7:30 p.m. to the burglary at a home in the 1000 block of Crestview Drive. The homeowner told deputies he entered the house through his garage and heard a loud noise and people inside the residence.
The homeowner ran outside and called 911. Responding deputies and a canine unit searched the home and the surrounding area but did not locate any suspects.

The suspects entered the residence by shattering a locked rear sliding glass door, according to the sheriff’s office.
No other information about the suspects was immediately available.
