Two Home Burglaries Logged Friday Evening In San Carlos

Deputies released photos of two male suspects in hoodies and wearing gloves.

Two suspects are sought in connection with a pair of back-to-back home break-ins Friday evening in San Carlos, according to law enforcement.

The burglaries occurred between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at homes on the 1500 block of Howard Avenue and on the 600 block of Cordilleras Avenue, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators released surveillance photos of the suspects, described as Hispanic male adults, one wearing a white “hoodie” jacket and one in a black “hoodie,” and both wearing gloves.

The Cordilleras Avenue burglary occurred first. The pair entered the rear of both residences, which were unoccupied at the time of the crimes, deputies said. One home’s rear sliding glass door was smashed, and at the second residence, entrance was made through a rear gate and an unlocked door.

Despite a search of the area, deputies were unable to locate the suspects.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to be diligent in their security measures, lock doors, arm surveillance equipment and alarm systems, and report suspicious activity or individuals to law enforcement.
