Vehicle Crash Downs Power Lines, Causes Outage
More than 130 customers were without power Tuesday night because of the crash.

A vehicle crashed into a power pole in San Carlos on Tuesday night, resulting in a road closure, downed power lines and an electrical outage that initially affected 135 customers, according to PG&E.
The outage was reported in the vicinity of Madera Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas just before 8 p.m., according to PG&E.
Power lines fell into the roadway on Madera Avenue, causing San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies to close the road, according to a statement issued by the county around 9:15 p.m.

The number of customers affected by the electrical outage was reduced to two around 11 p.m., according to PG&E, and those customers should have service restored by 7 a.m.
