91-Year-Old Dishes It Out at San Clemente Jack in the Box

Before Jack the businessman with a ping-pong-ball head came “back,” Claire Mushen was already there, working behind the counter at Jack in the Box San Clemente.  

Mushen is 91 years old and has been portioning out fries, taking drive-through orders and anything else the boss asks since she was 64 or 65, according to KABC News, which recently featured Mushen.

Customers report Mushen is an inspiration and a steady presence in their daily lives, and manager Armando Pineda says patrons have literally grown up with her – and still visit.

"The young kids keep me young,” the great-grandmother told KABC. “They teach me. 'Move it or lose it, Claire,' they say. And I like that.”
