SAN CLEMENTE, CA — The city of San Clemente's Beaches, Parks and Recreation Department will host a Día de los Muertos event at Max Berg Plaza Park next week.
The event is Monday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Max Berg Plaza Park. The event is free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from vendors.
A community altar will be available Oct. 30–Nov. 3. Residents may email photos to Recreation@san-clemente.org by Oct. 29 for inclusion. Photos and ofrendas can be picked up at the San Clemente Community Center beginning Nov. 5.
The afternoon will include an altar and ofrenda, sugar-skull crafts, face painting, Ballet Folklórico and Danza Azteca performances, community booths and music.
