SAN CLEMENTE, CA — San Clemente residents will have an opportunity to celebrate the city's culinary scene when the 35th annual Taste of San Clemente returns Friday, bringing local restaurants, wineries, breweries and entertainment together for an evening at the historic Casino San Clemente.
Hosted by the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. at Casino San Clemente, 140 W. Avenida Pico, in the city's North Beach neighborhood.
The annual gathering will feature food tastings from local restaurants, along with wine, craft beer and cocktail samples from participating vendors.
Guests can also enjoy live music and dancing featuring Wigs and Ties, an Orange County-based cover band, as well as a silent auction.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary commemorative event glass.
The event also provides an opportunity for residents to connect with local businesses and sample offerings from restaurants and beverage vendors throughout the community.
Casino San Clemente, a historic venue dating to 1937, will serve as the backdrop for the celebration. The venue was originally built as a social hall and dance destination and remains a gathering place for special events in San Clemente.
Tickets were available through advance purchase only, with regular admission priced at $210 per person, plus applicable transaction fees.
According to event information, tickets are sold out. Residents interested in attending can request placement on a waitlist by emailing info@scchamber.com.
Organizers will not sell tickets at the door, and all ticket purchases are nonrefundable.
The event is restricted to guests ages 21 and older.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in "San Clemente cocktail" attire. Denim, shorts and sneakers are not permitted.
A coat check will be available through the San Clemente Woman's Club and The Bargain Box Thrift Store, operated by the Assistance League of Capistrano Valley. Donations to the organizations are welcome.
Paid parking will be available at the North Beach city parking lot, directly across from Casino San Clemente, for $1.50 per hour.
Because alcoholic beverages will be served, the chamber encourages guests to use rideshare services or arrange transportation in advance.
