April 25, 2018 CUSD BOT Meeting - LCAP Up-date

How well is CUSD Performing ?

Board Agenda at page 1358

Under "Local Control", the LCAP is the only tool that the State of California gives to the Public to ensure transparency in how a district sets it's educational priorities, and how district funds are spent to ensure those priorities are met.

Unfortunately, this appears to be nothing more than a blank check for public employee unions, and leaves the public with no recourse if they happen to live in a District that does not "HEAR" the input of the Public.

GOAL 2: COMMUNICATIONS

GOAL 3: FACILITIES AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

CUSD HAS $189 MILLION DOLLARS IN EMERGENCY REPAIRS THAT THREATEN THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF STUDENT
Facilities Condition Assessment

CUSD chose to give employees five consecutive years of across the board compensation increases totaling over $150 million dollars rather than fix and maintain facilities

The School Accountability Report cards mark all schools as "good" which are in direct contradiction to the Kitchel Facility Condition Reports. Under "Local Control" Williams Legislation has been gutted. There is no longer any oversight of school facilities.

The following Williams Complaints/Appeals have been filed which show there is no longer oversight of facilities.
