Bank Robber Hits San Clemente

A man who robbed Chase Bank on El Camino Real got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A man in his late 40s robbed a Chase bank branch in San Clemente today.

The suspect walked into the branch at 905 N. El Camino Real about 3:40 p.m., tossed a note at a teller saying he had a weapon and fled on foot with cash, said Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 200 pounds, Hallock said.
