Beer Thief Does Time

At 8:27 p.m. Friday Oct. 15, someone reported a robbery in progress in the 800 block of El Camino Real. A man had reportedly stolen a case of beer from the local Rite Aid and was throwing objects at the store’s manager in the parking lot. Deputies arrived and arrested a 32-year-old man. He is currently in custody with a $20,000 bail amount posted.

At 9:29 p.m. Friday Oct. 15, an informant called the sheriff’s office to report a disturbance near the cross streets of South Camino Real and Esplanade. A man and a woman were in a physical fight inside a local Taco Bell.
At 10:51 p.m. Friday Oct. 15, a caller reported a disturbance in the 400 block of Camino Vista Verde. A group of several drunken teens was screaming and disturbing residents.
At 2:39 a.m. Saturday Oct. 16, someone reported a drunken driver in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. A silver Prius had pulled into a local parking lot. When security confronted the man, the driver stated he drank too much and drove away eastbound on Camino De Los Mares.
