Brush Fire Ignites In San Clemente

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Roughly two-acres of brush is in flames in San Clemente, the Orange County Fire Authority reported, Friday morning.
No structures are immediately threatened by the blaze, according to the OCFA. Known as the Telega Fire, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday reported that forward progress has been stopped, and no structures were threatened by 10 a.m.
"The fire is holding at two acres and will not get any bigger," Holaday told Patch.

Meanwhile, the upstaffed OCFA has three strike teams of firefighters working to our north, battling the the Tick Fire, as part of the mutual aid between fire departments across southern California.
Back at home, OCFA remains fully staffed with extra resources, Holaday said.
