California Water Rebate Programs

Upon inspection, many water districts have water rebate programs that allow you to get a rebate on some of the cost of your irrigation materials and plants. These programs are great to take advantage of while we are in this drought.

North County San Diego

Carlsbad– Offers a limited number of rebates through a SoCal Water$mart program maintained by the Metropolitan Water District

Escondido– In addition to SoCal Water$mart, they have a water savings incentive program available for agricultural, industrial, institution and commercial residents.

Fallbrook- Provides access to SoCal Water$mart and conducts free landscape irrigation evaluations. You may also be eligible to receive money for exchanging your yard’s turf grass to water-efficient landscapes

Oceanside- Residents and businesses have access to SoCal Water$mart program

San Marcos- through WaterSmartsd.org residential customers, homeowners, business’ and public sectors may have access to rebates

Vista – Single family smart landscape evaluations are available in addition to the SoCal Water$mart program

South Orange County

Aliso Viejo- This site has consistently updated information on water saving rebate programs in the area

Dana Point- High-efficiency toilets can give Dana point residents up to a $250 rebate along with many other indoor and outdoor rebate opportunities

Laguna Hills-Laguna Hills residents may be eligible to receive up to $285 for high-efficiency clothes washers in addition to many other rebates

Laguna Niguel- People that live in Laguna Niguel have the opportunity to take part in the turf removal rebate and many other rebate programs

Mission Viejo- Residents may have the opportunity to get rebates through the irrigation system retrofit and turf removal rebate programs

San Clemente – Provides access to WaterSmart San Clemente that may allow residents to be eligible for rebates from high efficiency rotating nozzles, turf removals, and so much more

San Juan Capistrano- Residents may have the opportunity to receive turf removal rebates

Riverside County

Temecula- This site includes access to a variety of information for rebates for homeowners and business owners

Murrieta- Residents of Murrieta may be eligible for the Drip Conversion, Pressure Regulating Valve, Rain Sensor Pool Cover, and Turf Replacement programs
