Christina Carbonara Named Top Dancer for Charity Fundraising Event
Christina Carbonara of Carbonara Tratorria Italiana in San Clemente Earned $1,000 top prize money for Family Assistance Ministries April 17.

San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club organized its 5th Annual Dancing for a Cause charity ballroom dance competition, and invited a few friends to come along! The event is the only multiple charity fund raiser of its kind in Orange County. This year’s friendly competition was held in the historic Casino San Clemente and emceed by San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club’s Jancee Aellig and Les Whitney. Four local charities were invited to the ball. San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club supported Rhonda Tooker dancing the Hustle with Professional dancer Aleksy Ryazanov. Dancing a Cha Cha /Hustle for Laura’s House was Cheryl Osborn with Professional Alex Matar. Mike Stock danced a Quickstep with Professional Allie Spinder, but Christina Carbonara took over the place for Family Assistance Ministries with her Cha Cha partner Professional Kyle Spinder. Celebrity judges San Clemente City Councilman/Former Mayor Tim Brown joined former dancer Bob Burns from the San Clemente Rotary Club, and Professional dancer Kasia Reinert . Approximately $80,000.00 for charity is the preliminary count of money raised to further the charities’ work in San Clemente.
