SC OPEN SKATE CONTEST REGISTRATION OPEN
Go for gold at the 20th Annual SC OPEN!

September 1, 2021…San Clemente, California…Calling all skaters! The 20th Annual SC Open skate contest promotes local skaters 17 and under, while fundraising for the Friends of San Clemente Beaches, Parks & Recreation Foundation. The contest will be held on Saturday, September 18,, 2021, from 2-8 p.m. at Ralphs Skate Court (241 Avenida La Pata).

This 20th annual skate event is sponsored by Stance and SoCal Surf Shop. New this year, the event will include live entertainment from the local band Primo, playing under the skate court lights. Dave Duncan, the voice of skateboarding, returns to the court to announce the competition. Food will be available by Tacos4Troops and Kona Ice. All contestants will receive a contest T-shirt, swag bag, and an opportunity to win prizes in the Best Trick Contest sponsored by Dr. Mogavero.

To celebrate 20 years, a special early bird rate is available until September 17 at $20 per competitor. The day-of registration fee will increase to $35 on September 18. Pre-register online at www.san-clemente.org/events. All competitors must wear proper safety equipment, which includes helmet, elbow pads and knee pads.
