March 5 - Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Begins

Learn How You Can Help Your Family and Your Community in the Event of a Major Disaster

March 5 is the first day of CERT training. While we all hope a big emergency doesn’t ever happen here - major fire, tsunami, earthquake,  it’s great to know we have trained volunteers who can help if we need them. And it’s even better to know that our CERT team is part of a nation wide training program whose members can help in many other communities if needed. Class starts Thursday, March 5 for the next training session. Take the  20 hour FEMA course to learn how to assist until first responders can arrive to help put out a fire, light search and rescue, triage the injured. Who knows? The family you help may be your own. Contact Katie Carpenter, Emergency Planning Coordinator for the City of San Clemente - 949-361-6109 or email CERT@SanClemente.org
