CRIME REPORTS: Burglar Faces Bat, Pantsless in GMC

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services Dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 3:47 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a drunk in public in the 100 block of Calle Amistad. According to the report, a man in a white t-shirt was seen wandering around the Pinnacle Apartments intoxicated and reportedly asked a resident for some alcohol. 

At 12:48 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Canada. The informant was reportedly concerned about three men who appeared to be in a gang walking west bound on Canada. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 11:54 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Capistrano Lane and Santa Ana Lane intersection. According to the report, the informant was disturbed by several subjects who had been drinking all day and were yelling at people who passed by their balcony.

At 10:18 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a drunk in public near the Calle Agua and Camino De Los Mares intersection. The informant reportedly saw a drunk man wandering around the street and firefighters were dispatched to handle the call. 

At 9:20 p.m.  Thursday, a caller reported a firework violation near the Camino Faro and Camino Ancla intersection. According to the report, a group of subjects were setting off illegal fireworks at the Pinnacle Apartments in Talega. There was no report of an arrest.

At 7:54 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 3100 block of Avenida Del Presidente. According to the report, a group of minors were seen running around the roof of Concordia Elementary School. The report stated this has been an ongoing problem. 

At 6:48 p.m. Thursday, deputies were called to conduct a welfare check in the 900 block of El Camino Real. The informant reportedly saw a drunk man passed out in a white GMC pickup truck with his pants on the ground. 

At 11:28 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a burglary in progress in the first block of Via Conocido. According to the informant, a subject broke into their home and her husband went after the subject with a baseball bat. After noticing someone was definitely in their home, police entered the informants' home. 

At 9:43 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a firework violation in the 2400 block of Corte Merlango. According to the report, subjects were setting off illegal fireworks at the Pacific Point Apartments. The informant reported it was mostly bottle rockets. 

At 9:31 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a vandalism in the 1100 block of Calle Del Cerro. According to the informant. a unknown subject has supper-glued her dead bolt shut in the San Clemente Apartments.
