CRIME REPORTS: Loitering Gang Bangers, Concrete Thief

These are selected reports from the San Clemente Police Services dispatch log throughout the past few days.

At 2:08 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Calle Puente. The caller was reportedly disturbed by a man who was walking north on Calle Puente and was yelling and screaming. 

At 12:29 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 1500 block of Calle Sacramento. According to the report, a man was was known for previous burglaries was seen checking various vehicles for unlocked doors. The informant asked the man for a cigarette and he proceeded to run away.

At 12:16 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a drunk in public in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. The report stated a drunk male minor was getting into a verbal argument with employees of CVS. The minor was last seen running towards the Wells Fargo bank.

At 10:35 p.m. Thursday, deputies assisted a citizen near the Camino El Molino and Camino De Los Mares intersection. Deputies responded to help a citizen who was on a bus which had broken down with 40 high school students. The informant did not know what to do and requested assistance. 

At 9:46 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenida Vista Montana. According to the report, a man was hear arguing with a woman and was saying something about the woman breaking his arm at the Seacreast apartments. The man was reportedly being uncooperative with the informant and was throwing canned goods around a residence.

At 7:18 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested a 39-year-old-man in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. According to the report, the man was arrested for stealing from Walmart and was reportedly being cooperative after detained by an employee. The man was taken into custody and bail was set for $20,000.00. 

At 4:46 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Avenida Pico. According to the report, a male transient had set up camp and was sleeping outside of the informant’s front door. 

At 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 100 block of Avenida Presidio. According to the report, the informant’s ex-boyfriend was hiding in her bushes when she came home the previous night. 

At 7:48 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance near the Avenida Serra and El Camino Real intersection. According to the report, the informant was concerned about a group of  at least 12 subjects who appeared to be gang members that were drinking and loitering in a vacant lot. The lot was reportedly cleaned up and empty bottles, trash and hypodermic needles were found. 

At 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a grand theft in the 300 block of Ola Vista. According to the report, a cement mixer was stolen from the informant’s car port the previous night.
