CRIME REPORTS: Man Bites Man, Honda vs. Deer

Selected reports from the San Clemente Police Dispatch Services log during the past few days.

At 9:42 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 2900 block of Calle Caucho. People were racing motorcycles up and down the street. 

At 8:32 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a fireworks violation in the 100 block of Calle Amistad. Male minors were lighting fireworks on a road near the Pinnacle Apartments in Talega. 

At 7:36 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported battery in the 100 block of Avenida Presidio. An assault was reported at the beach area near Esperanza and Calle Cortez.

At 6:53 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 600 block of Calle Miguel. The informant complained about an ongoing problem with a neighbor leaving dog poop bags on her driveway.

At 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a traffic accident near the Avenida Vista Hermosa and Camino Vera Cruz intersection. A silver Honda Odyssey ran over a deer while heading west on Hermosa. The report did not state if the deer survived.

At 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance near the North El Camino Real and Avenida Del Mar intersection. A man was bitten on the arm at Pizza Port by a man in his 20s who was suspected of being on drugs. 

At 11:38 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a hit-and-run in the 500 block of El Camino Real. The caller reported being run off the road by a black Suburban near the San Clemente Rider’s Supply. 

At 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 300 block of Pas De Cristobal. The driver of a gray sedan was doing doughnuts in a cul-de-sac near T Street. 

At 9:59 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1700 block of Avenida Estacion. A man was running down the beach screaming after it closed. It was too dark for the informant to give a description but deputies reportedly cited the man for the offense. 

At 9:38 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to conduct a bar check for a rowdy Taco Tuesday crowd at Hapa J’s 

At 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a burglary in the 3800 block of Via Del Campo. A wallet was taken from the caller's vehicle while the caller was at a San Clemente gas station.
