CRIME REPORTS: Minors Chucking Fruit, Woman Punched in Face

Check out the San Clemente crime calls made to the Orange County Sheriff's Department over the past few days.

At 4:31 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 1500 block of El Camino Real. The informant reportedly witnessed a man and a woman in a heated verbal argument. The woman was seen yelling at the man to leave her alone. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 100 block of Mariposa. According to the report, the informant’s roommate moved out unexpectedly and stole his refrigerator. Police reported the informant was being uncooperative. 

At 2:14 a.m. Tuesday, deputies arrested a 29-year-old-man in the 1700 block of El Camino Real. According to the report, the man was arrested during a vehicle search and appeared to be on probation.

At 9:31 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the first block of Via Santa Maria. According to the report, the informant’s husband punched her in the face with a closed fist. There was no report of weapons or narcotics. 

At 8:35 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a family disturbance in the 600 block of Avenida De La Estrella. The informant reported that her son took their grey pickup truck without permission to “score heroin.”

At 8:35 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to assist a citizen in the 200 block of Avenida Palizada. The informant wanted to speak with police about someone who reached into a small window and took a picture of her while she was showing. The suspect allegedly took the picture from a walkway, which is adjacent to the window. 

At 4:36 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 100 block of El Camino Real. The report stated that a local transient woman was sitting in front of Velvet Yogurt and was yelling at an scaring little kids. 

At 1:08 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a drunk in public incident in the 600 block of Avenida Victoria. According to the report, there was an intoxicated man at the Fisherman’s Bar who refused to leave when asked. 

At 1:06 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance near the El Camino Real and Avenida Pico intersection. According to the report, a group of minors were seen throwing fruit at passing vehicles from a tan Chevy dually near Richard Steed Park. 

At 9:22 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to assist firefighters in the 200 block of Calle Cortez. According to the report, firefighters were needed for a 66-year-old-man who was suspected to have experienced alcohol poisoning. 

At 7:11 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrested a 21-year-old-woman in the 600 block of Camino De Los Mares. The report stated the woman was smoking narcotics in a black Lexus ES300.
