Man Asks Passersby: 'Do You Know Where to Buy Heroin?'

At 2:12 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 900 block of Avenida Pico. A man in a gray T-shirt and shorts was in front of the local Animal Hospital asking people where to “buy heroin.” No arrest was made.

At 3:58 p.m. Monday, deputies were asked to investigate a dead body in the 800 block of Camino de los Mares. Authorities confirmed the person had passed away from natural causes.
At 1:23 a.m. Tuesday, someone called the sheriff’s department to report unknown trouble in the 2400 block of El Camino Real. An informant told deputies that someone had been stabbed and there was “blood all over.” Deputies suspected the informant was drunk.
At 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, a concerned caller reported a disturbance near East Avenida Pico and Avenida Presido. The informant said a man was hitting a woman inside a black, two-door Pontiac.
