E-Bikes Banned Along San Clemente Beach Trail And Beaches
San Clemente residents can no longer ride e-bikes along the city's beach trail.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — San Clemente residents are no longer allowed to ride e-bikes on the city's beach trail and beaches, after elected officials voted to ban them entirely at the Jan. 18 city council meeting.
While e-bikes are banned on the city's beach trail and sands, officials stopped short of expanding prohibition to inland trails, the OC Register reported Wednesday.
Councilmembers decided to ban all bikes from the Corto Lane area, which is a thin stretch of the beach trail that runs about 300 yards near the pier.
