Elephant and Plein Air Artist Alan Nowell Presents Free Workshop for Military Artists Program in San Clemente, May 23

Alan Nowell, well known artist and popular "Elephants on Parade" artist hosted by San Clemente Art Association May 23 from 3 - 5 pm

The San Clemente Art Association is hosting favorite popular artist Alan Nowell for a free workshop demonstration for their Military Art Program.

The program will be presented on May 23 from 3pm to 5 pm at the San Clemente Art Supply store, 1531 N. El Camino Real in San Clemente.

Alan didn’t really set out to pain an elephant, but when one of the artists for the “Elephant Parade” in Dana Point had to drop out, he was there to help. He is better known as a talented plein air artist. His creation of “Surpher Elephant” was a donation of tie and talent to help bring attention to the plight of the Indian elephants.
