The San Clemente Event Center, the historic site of the old jail, fire department, and town hall at 111 Avenida Palizada in San Clemente, opens its doors for a concert event on Saturday, February 25, 2012. The music begins at 7:30 PM. There is a cover charge of $6 in advance and online at http://sceventcenter-conlon2012-02-25.eventbrite.com and $7 at the door.
The first concert guest at this venue is singer/songwriter Tom Conlon and his Songs and Stories from a Road Less-Traveled tour. A true modern-day troubadour, New York native Tom Conlon has recorded and toured internationally since 1996 with 9 albums to date and another on the way. Opting to forgo the traditional industry route, Tom passed on record label offers in favor of a grassroots, word-of-mouth model. Tom’s vocals and guitar provide some of the richest poetic lyrics and musical composition progressive folk music has to offer.
