Family Assistance Ministries Announces New CEO

Former Mercy House Chief Operations Director will further their mission to help clients go from dependency to self-sufficiency.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA —Family Assistance Ministries (FAM) has announced a new CEO this week. Elizabeth Andrade will assume the role of CEO, FAM, on February 10th, 2020. The ministry's mission is to bridge the gap between dependency and self-sufficiency and provide counseling, food, shelter, and career planning support for those in need.

Elizabeth is currently the Chief Operations Director for Mercy House based in Southern California. Mercy House is a $22M nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness. Elizabeth leads a large team at Mercy House and her role leading Operations requires strategic responsibilities with the Mercy House staff, Board of Directors, and external community.

Prior to her time at Mercy House, Elizabeth has served those in need in the Southern California area since 2006 with important organizations to include The United Way, Family Solutions Collaborative, Families Forward, and Crystal Cathedral Ministry.

Elizabeth also gives her time to other organizations that support those in need including UCI ESSPRI, Association for California Cities, Housing California, and Families and Communities Together.

Elizabeth lives in Orange County and is married to Freddy, along with their sons Nathan (11) and Noah (9). Elizabeth graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a B.A. degree in Sociology, in 2009.

The Board is also very pleased to announce that the current Executive Director, Mary Perdue, will move into the very important role of Chief Development Officer. In this role Mary will work closely with Elizabeth and lead FAM’s work on business development, fundraising, and community relations. The FAM Board would like to recognize Mary for her impact during her time as Executive Director. Under Mary’s leadership, FAM has grown and strengthened significantly and has seen client services grow exponentially.
