Free Shredding Event For San Clemente Residents
Do you have old documents taking up space in your office? The city is hosting a shredding event April 2.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Do you have sensitive documents that you've been needing to shred? Mark your calendars, San Clemente. On April 2, the city is hosting a shredding event for all residents and businesses.
The event is an opportunity for residents to securely destroy their confidential documents, free of charge.
Residents and businesses in San Clemente can bring up to 10 banker-size file boxes worth of paper records for immediate shredding. Documents should be free of binders, paperclips, plastic sleeves and metal butterfly clips. Wet or water-damaged documents will not be accepted.

To participate in the event, no registration is required — though the city asked residents to remain in their vehicles until serviced.
Residents are also asked to put all boxes inside the trunk of their vehicle. Attendees who do not have a trunk or hatch release option in the cab of their vehicle will be provided protocol by the city when checking into the event.

For more information, residents can contact 949-498-9436. The free shredding event takes place April 2 from 8 a.m. to noon at the San Clemente Maintenance Yard, 390 Ave. Pico.
