High Speed Chase Rips through South Orange County
A stolen car police pursuit reached speeds of a 100 miles an hour on Orange County freeways.

A police pursuit reached speeds of 100 miles per hour along the southbound 5 in southern Orange County overnight.
It started with a report of a stolen vehicle in Watts and ended 2 1/2 hours later in northern San Diego County with the male driver in custody, authorities said.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at 2:13 a.m. near the intersection of Compton Avenue and East 108th Street, a Los Angeles police officer said.

The white Chevrolet pickup was stopped by CHP officers in the southbound lanes of the San Diego (5) Freeway near the Cassidy Street exit in Oceanside at 4:41 a.m., a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
