Jailbird Goes Berserk in Parking Lot

At 1:47 p.m. Monday Sept. 16, a caller reported a disturbance in the 3900 block of El Camino Real. A man was yelling racial slurs at strangers and claiming he was going to steal someone’s car in a local parking lot. The informant also claimed the man was telling strangers he had just been released from jail. Multiple residents reported the angry man to deputies, stating his red eyes indicated he might have been under the influence of drugs during this time.

At 1:55 a.m. Monday, someone reported a suspicious person in the 500 block of Avenida Pico. A man was suspected of being drunk at the local Denny’s. The informant claimed the intoxicated man then stumbled to his car and fell asleep.
At 10:34 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of El Portal. Loud drumming was occurring at a residential party and disturbing neighbors.
At 11:48 a.m. Tuesday, an informant told deputies about a disturbance in the 2200 block of El Camino Real. A woman was going door-to-door with a dog and three children asking for money.
