La Pata Construction Continues Near San Clemente

The La Pata road construction will have temporary stoppages this weekend to remove the northernmost temporary traffic signal crossing.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Orange County Public Works announced a series of temporary traffic stoppages on the new La Pata Ave. corridor on Saturday to remove a temporary traffic signal crossing that was previously installed.

"Public Works contractor crews will perform a series of temporary traffic stoppages each approximately 15 minutes in duration at two locations on La Pata Avenue," they stated in release. "Stoppages will be for both northbound and southbound lanes."

The traffic control devices will be installed in the area 1,000 feet south of Ortega Highway and Stallion Ridge in San Juan Capistrano.

The traffic stoppages will be to ensure the safety of the public and project crews, according to Orange County Public Works.

"These brief traffic stoppages will be active for Saturday, Oct. 15 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. and are necessary for crews to complete La Pata Ave. widening improvements as quickly and safely as possible.

Additional updates will be announced regarding future traffic stoppages at locations along La Pata Ave. according to Orange County Public Works.

The La Pata Avenue Stoppages will take place Sat. Oct. 15 between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.
