Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Celebrated In San Clemente
This adorable San Clemente resident remembered to thank an officer on Thursday.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA —On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Thursday, one of Orange County Sheriff's Department's biggest fans suited up and headed to the station to offer their appreciation. Dressed in a police officer uniform, showing support, deputies took a moment to enjoy their littlest fan. The moment was shared on Facebook for all to see.
"As Buzz Lightyear stated in Toy Story 2, 'Woody once risked his life to save me. I couldn't call myself his friend if I weren't willing to do the same," a department spokesperson wrote of the occasion.
It was pretty evident that the department has a friend in this tiny little law enforcer.

Three deputies knelt to her level and mugged for the camera. On Facebook, fans lent their support and thanks to the department.
Throughout the year, OCSD deputies were caught on camera sharing moments and smiles with the public that they serve and protect. Officers frequently stop at lemonade stands, or give tours to groups throughout the year, explaining what it means to stand guard for the residents of San Clemente and beyond.

"Being from a family that has resided in this city for 91 years, our family is thankful for the service you have given us since 1993," said John Llamas.
Margaret Mueller shouted out a "Thank you!" saying, "Thank you for being our deputies, Sergeants, and Chief!"
