Local Youth Sail into First Place!

First place for Mariners Lily Maranto, Tyler Peyatt, Christopher Mullen, Kaden Caliendo, Lily Gebauer and Nate Bunte last weekend at DWYC Midwinter Regatta against a field of adult racers. Maranto and her crew are all members of Dana Points Mariners 936 Sea Scouts and High School Sailing teams. This was the first time that this group had sailed together on the Olson 30 Gray Goose, making their win an even more impressive feat.
Mariners is a year round program for youth 14-18 teaching sailing, leadership and maritime skills.
An information meeting for prospective new members will be held February 22 at 6:30pm at the Orange County Sailing and Events Center, 34451 Ensenada Pl, Dana Point, CA 92629
