Lost Cat In San Clemente Gets Purr-Fect Ending Thanks To OC Fire
Orange County firefighters helped rescue a runaway cat and return it to its family in San Clemente Sunday.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Orange County Fire Authority firefighters rescued a runaway cat in San Clemente Sunday evening after the cat escaped from its car and took to hiding in some North Beach bushes, a spokesperson with the OCFA said on Twitter.
The incident occurred when a black cat escaped from its carrier and disappeared under the bushes at North Beach, authorities said. The cat had reportedly done such a good job at hiding himself that no one could see him. The family was trying to lure the cat out of the bushes when they spotted Orange County Fire Authority firefighters from Truck 59 and asked for help.

Orange County firefighters used a "breathing apparatus bottle," a tool worn in fires, to blast some noise that startled to cat out of the bushes. The feline was promptly caught by its family and put back into its cat carrier — but not before being wrapped up in a big hug from mom.
