Meth Flies Out Car Window; Driver Arrested: Police

SAN CLEMENTE, CA – A "baseball-sized" quantity of methamphetamine was tossed out a car window as Orange County deputies in San Clemente stopped a motorist, leading to an arrest, authorities said today.

"Did you know a baseball weighs 5.0-5.25 ounces? And a baseball to the melon can knock a man down or even out," OCSD - San Clemente Police Services said. "Needless to say your deputies were surprised when they lit up a car and a baseball quantity of meth (6 ounces) flew out the car window like a Mike Trout throw from center field."

Deputies reportedly recovered from the roadway discarded contraband from the roadway, along with cash, a scale and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle, officials said.

The driver was taken into custody, authorities said, adding "Thank you for letting us be your deputies."
