Monday Wave Check

Looking a little sleepy.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report.

Well, there's not a whole lot left out there. Yep, it's pretty small just about everywhere!

We're seeing some clean and glassy conditions early on, with a combo of some minimal leftover west northwest swell and a touch of lingering southerly energy.  That recipe is offering some fairly soft broken-up lines, with a few fun shoulders on a log or maybe a fish.

Most San Clemente spots are seeing knee- to waist-high waves, with the standout breaks pulling the occasional bigger set.

At 5:19 this morning the tide dropped to a 1.5 low which will have many spots lacking water early on. The tide then pushes up to a 3.9 high at 11:03 later this morning and then drops once again to a 1.0 low at 5:14 this evening.

If you're planning on paddling, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
