Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Tree in San Clemente
A motorcyclist died at the scene, and the road was closed following a crash in San Clemente Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators are on the scene in San Clemente where a motorcyclist died after losing control and crashing into a tree.
The male driver died in the crash at Calle del Cerro and Avenida Pico. The crash happened at about 1 p.m., said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Mark Stichter.
“It doesn’t look like any other vehicles were involved,” said Stichter. “Our major accident reconstruction team has responded and is handling the investigation.”

The fatal wreck forced the closure of Calle del Cerro in both directions between Avenida Vista Montana and Avenida Pico. As of 3:50 p.m., the road remained closed.
